The Urban Food Collective Weekend Market goes South

I live a little bit outside Metro Manila, in a city that is semi-province so weekend market is seldom that we experience. What we have here is the usual wet and dry market and the famous ukay-ukays.

Therefore and en event something like this is kinda exciting for me even though I will still have to travel a few minutes of bus ride.

Everyone's invited to not just your ordinary weekend market happening beginning tomorrow October 18, 2014 till December at CommerCenter Alabang. It will be not a not so tedious shopping experience because the venue is airconditioned therefore cozy and you just have to shop till you drop with all the many selections that are available.

There will also be a Market Munch Eating Challenge wherein you and two of your friends can have the chance to win P5,000.00 in cash and Abenson Gift Certificates.

Registration starts at 10am. You may also email castillo.stan@yahoo.com to get a guaranteed slot on the challenge.

You may visit and like TUFC on Facebook and follow them on Twitter on more exciting updates on activities to happen.

The iPad mini has come

The full iPad experience
There's less of it, but no less to it
Everything you love about iPad - the beautiful screen, fast and fluid performance, FaceTime and iSight cameras, thousands of amazing apps, 10-hour battery life - is everything you'll love about iPad mini, too.  And you can hold it in one hand.

iPad mini has everything that makes an iPad an iPad, but it's a fraction of the size.  At just 7.2 millimeters, its pencil thin and unbelievably light.  You can easily hold it in your palm.  And stash it in your smallest bag without a second thought, so its always close at hand.

Beautiful 7.9-inch display
A screen worthy of iPad
Colors are vivid and text is sharp on the iPad mini display.  But what really makes it stand out is its size.  At 7.9 inches, it's perfectly sized to deliver an experience every bit as big as iPad.

Over 275,000 apps
If its made for iPad, its made for iPad mini
Right from the start, apps made for iPad also work with iPad mini.  They're immersive, full-screen apps that let you do almost anything you can imagine.  And they make iPad mini practically impossible to put down.

Ultrafast wireless
Fast connections. The world over.
With advanced Wi-Fi that's up to twice as fast as any previous - generation iPad and access to fast cellular data networks around the world, iPad mini lets you download content stream video, and browse the web at amazing speeds.

National Book Store Cut Price Sale

Its cut-price book sale season at National Book Store once again.  This year's event will run from July 29 to August 21, 2011.
I was at Glorietta 5 the other day and I need some "pasalubong" for the kids, and look at what I've got.

A "Super Whopper Dot-to-Dot Activity Book" for baby Ivan, regular price at P109.00, got it for only P26.25 (that's 75% discount); "Hannah Montana the Movie" magazine, regular price P69.00, sale price P17.25, this one is for ate Ymanne (my lovely niece).  Amazing isn't it?

Ivan liked my "pasalubong", he's into doodling nowadays, Crayons are his best friend.

Being Mystery Shopper

I am getting paid for a job which I enjoy doing.

What is mystery shopping?  Mystery shopping or a mystery consumer is a tool used by Mystery Shopping Providers and market research companies to measure quality of retail service or gather specific information about products and services. Mystery Shopping should be performed by a person, so called Mystery Shopper, who is unknown to the establishment the shopper is evaluating (source Wikipedia).

Mystery shopping entails various tasks such as purchasing certain products, asking questions, pretending you're a prospective buyer.  After which you need to fill out some questionnaires and do feedback reports about your shopping experience.

I am doing this for five months now and had done quite several assignments.

Did I get really paid? Yes! Although the reimbursement/ payment takes about a month, at least I was paid and even earned extra for the work I've done.

In one assignment I did wherein I eat for FREE, I had this.

Do you know what restaurant offer this on their menu?
its a secret.
