Ivan's 3rd Birthday

Yes, time flies so fast! Our little boy Ivan Derek turned 3 last June 26 ( so this is an overdue post ha!ha!)

He didn't have any birthday party at all because he is afraid of clowns and mascots and therefore no need to spoil the fun.  It falls on Sunday so we just spent the day at MAMS Kiddie Funland where he had an afternoon full of fun.

And before the day ends, he got this yummy cake from Mernel's.  So glad they now have branch at SM Calamba, no need to travel to Los Baños just to have their cakes.

My Poor Wacky Baby

I didn't know my son Ivan had this picture, only lately my sister forwarded it to me.  This was taken when he was 8 months old (he is turning 3  this coming June 26).  Now I remember it, taken about 2 summer's ago when we went on swimming in a private resort just near our place.  So it was my brother in-law who pinched his cheeks.  My poor baby! was it because he had those not-so chubby cheeks that my BIL got fascinated with?  And he didn't even cried because I heard no one cried then.

Second Week in School

Ivan's second week of schooling were likewise without much fuss.  Everyday he'll wake up at exactly 9 o'clock, drink milk from his feeding bottle (hu!hu!hu!) I can't wean him yet from the bottle. Take a bath, dressed up and off we go to school.  Sometimes if he'll wake up earlier than usual there will be time to watch Dora and Spongebob on TV.

This week they already wear uniform.  Mommygiay is excited on the very first day seeing Ivan in his school uniform.  My baby is a grown-up already.

First Day of School

June 6 marks the day Ivan formally enters school.  It will be a new world for him, new faces, new challenges.

His new school is just located within the village.  Smart Kids Integrated School (B89 L25 Ph4 Villa de Calamba, Lamesa, Calamba City, Laguna), owned and managed by Ms. Margie Almazan

.

This will be the door he will enter for his schooling for the next 10 months.

Used to be his school service in going to his toddler class last month, now we just take a tricycle ride.  The school is not really far from home but I think will be tiring for Ivan to walk going there.

 Recess time: enjoying his Dutch Mill yoghurt milk and biscuits.  That his usual "baon" to school.  Lately, after his school hours he is requesting me to rush home because he wanted to take his "mimi" (milk).

Watch for my next post, Ivan will start wearing his school uniform next week.  Mommy giay is excited to see him in his new suit.  My neighbor friends as well would like to know how he will look like in his school polo, shorts and matching black shoes.

TREASURE HUNT featuring Curse of the Pirate Robert

 

 Attended this event today at SM Calamba. The activity is exclusive for SM Advantage, SM Prestige and BDO Rewards members!

Every P150 single receipt purchase from SM Stationary (either in the mall / department store / event center) entitles 1 entrance ticket and the FREE Faber Castell gift pack. 

Therefore I purchased a total of P300 to be able to have 2 entrance tickets for my son Ivan and my niece Ymanne.

The event is open to children 7 to 13 years old. Kids 3 to 6 years old can also join provided they are accompanied by an adult

 

 While waiting for the treasure hunt to commence, we spent time hopping at the 

different booths within the event center.

The different booths provided activities for the kids and parents too.  They can participate in various art activities like scrapbooking, crayons and pen coloring.

Fourth Week: May 2011

 Our final venture for the month was at Mommy Diaries.  Ivan playing at the lobby while I am attending a parenting seminar.  One thing I like with events like this are the free parenting seminars. Sometimes they will give you freebies as well.  My entrance ticket was courtesy of Groupon. I also won a 1-month membership to Curves which I don't know what to do yet.

 Ivan is having his glitter tattoo. He selected a fish design.

Next stop was at BGC for the Giant Balloon Sculpture Parade

We're both exhausted and headed home.

Next month or in 2-weeks time Ivan will began semi-formal schooling (nursery level) and I am thinking of staying home most of the time (?) do you think we can do that?  because we need to concentrate on his studies but I think he will surely miss our escapades.  Ha!ha! just yesterday I received an email regarding the GC I won from mamskiddiefunland  . . . hmmm . . . we'll reserve that for Ivan's birthday.  Maybe we can tag along ate Ymanne and baby JM.

Third Week of May 2011

 

 I won an entrance ticket to this event courtesy of Ms. Ro of Animetrics World so I have decided to head at the NBC tent.  Truly there were lots and lots of must try food samples.  Ivan prefers more of the ice cream and the gelatos.  I think we were not even able to visit all the booths because he's also busy running around which I hated so much because I end up always getting after him.  I am just afraid he'll get lost in the pool of people.  We didn't had any picture because I lost my camera battery :(
