Fourth Week: May 2011

 Our final venture for the month was at Mommy Diaries.  Ivan playing at the lobby while I am attending a parenting seminar.  One thing I like with events like this are the free parenting seminars. Sometimes they will give you freebies as well.  My entrance ticket was courtesy of Groupon. I also won a 1-month membership to Curves which I don't know what to do yet.

 Ivan is having his glitter tattoo. He selected a fish design.

Next stop was at BGC for the Giant Balloon Sculpture Parade

We're both exhausted and headed home.

Next month or in 2-weeks time Ivan will began semi-formal schooling (nursery level) and I am thinking of staying home most of the time (?) do you think we can do that?  because we need to concentrate on his studies but I think he will surely miss our escapades.  Ha!ha! just yesterday I received an email regarding the GC I won from mamskiddiefunland  . . . hmmm . . . we'll reserve that for Ivan's birthday.  Maybe we can tag along ate Ymanne and baby JM.

Third Week of May 2011

 

 I won an entrance ticket to this event courtesy of Ms. Ro of Animetrics World so I have decided to head at the NBC tent.  Truly there were lots and lots of must try food samples.  Ivan prefers more of the ice cream and the gelatos.  I think we were not even able to visit all the booths because he's also busy running around which I hated so much because I end up always getting after him.  I am just afraid he'll get lost in the pool of people.  We didn't had any picture because I lost my camera battery :(

Second Week: May 2011

 Walking around with Ms. Gladys Reyes.  I am envy with my son because he's always within her reach.

 Ivan is afraid of mascots but he loves watching them from a distance.  Enjoying a dance number with the Ainon mascot.

 Had so much fun at the Gymboree booth playing with other kids. 

The host gave some bubble treat which the kids truly enjoyed as well.

But I don't think I enjoyed this fair, other than the venue was a bit far, it was kinda boring for me because there were no simultaneous on-stage program.  The booth/exhibitors were not of my interest as well. Anyway, Ivan had a great time playing at Gymboree I think, and the story telling was something new for him.

First week: May 2011

Had a great time this summer because there were activities for us every week end. 

 MAY 7:  This is our third straight year attending ExpoMom.  Every year it was a delight and one of the events I am always looking forward to. Too bad though, Ivan was not able to play at the Funranch inflatables.  It was not set up yet.  The photo booth was not working as well so we were not bale to have our souvenir pix.

 Went to another event at Megamall, Joyful Parenting sponsored by Philips Avent.  I need to be there to listen to their speakers and pick-up my prize.  Its a reward from being the very first active participant of their Facebook discussion board.

Finally a picture together with Ms. George.  Met her at various events, I think she's one of those in-demand event host because she's really good at it.
 

The Mommy Diaries: A Lifestyle & Wellness Expo for Mothers

DUSIT Wonderland

Friday Swimming Time

Ivan is attending a Toddler's Summer Class just within the village.  It will be a one-month summer class, daily from 9:00 to 10:30 in the morning.


Monday to Thursday there are play and learn lesoons (please view my other posts).  Friday is swiiming time. Yeheyy!!!

They put up an inflatable pool where the kids can enjoy together with Teacher Assistant Ate MJ.

Hmmmm . . . I wish Teacher Bhel will allow moms to dip in the pool too . . . envy ha!ha!

Ivan's School Pojects: Week 1

These are the things Ivan did in school for Week 1.  Its all about shapes and colors.  Teacher Bhel commented Ivan is very careful in doing his colors.  Yes! its not messy.

Ivan's Summer Class

How time really flies fast.  Our son Ivan Derek is now 2y and 9mos. old and getting ready for school.  So we have decided to enrol him in a Toddler's Summer Class to prepare him for the big event this coming school year.  It was a home-based school located within the village.  The main objective is for him to learn to associate with other kids, how to share toys, behave and follow rules, and eat together.

The school hour is 9:00 to 10:30am so Ivan is now learning how to wake up early, that is 8:15 to have enough time to drink his milk, bath and dress-up and get ready for school.  It is a long walk from our house so we just bring his 3-wheel bike or else mommy will carry him all the way which is a difficult thing to do.

The sessions were mostly singing and dancing together; artwork, story-telling and swimming in inflatable pool during Fridays.

Initially there were only 3 of them, later in the week the number increased to 7.  Imagine all of them were little boys.  Thanks to Teacher Bhel, she was really patient and very good in handling these kids.

The first week lesson were shapes and colors.  I was really caught in awe as Ivan can now identify the basic shapes and he's really good at it.  

I'll make another post for Ivan's art works and their Friday swimming  So excited for this.
