Sweet. I suddenly missed my mommy. :(
ReplyDeletePlease do not belittle UP. I came from the same school, and there's no need to wonder why indigent people avail a premiere education as everyone already knows UP does not discriminate. We know for a fact that anyone, regardless of his economic status, can pursue a topnotch learning just by sheer above average mental capability.
ReplyDeletehappy mother's day :)
ReplyDeleteYour mom's story is inspiring. Happy mother's day to her and to you too.:)
ReplyDeleteYour Mom must be very, very proud of you guys. Happy mother's day to your mom.
ReplyDelete64? Your mom's still young. :) People who are used to working cannot just retire and be idle. And I agree, they should keep their minds and bodies active. Your mom's a great example.
ReplyDeleteHappy mother's day to your mom! My mom was not able to finish school too, but she works on her own she's a dressmaker and a housewife. I'm always proud of my mom and I love her so much. Happy mother's day to all moms!! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou've got the best mother. I agree with you. She has brought up all of you as professionals. That is her best accomplishment and achievement. A very, very big ribbon of recognition is for your loving mom. Congratz for having such mother.
ReplyDeleteYour parents, especially your Mom are quite exceptional! I also believe that developing a child's foundation (in the early stages) will truly help in strengthening him/her for the life that he/she will face later on. Congrats again for also having siblings who are as smart as you Ms. Gigi! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy mothers day to all!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of those mom who really stands being a mom until they get old. Some parents kasi ang motto kapag nakawork kana is to work for them at buhay mo na sila. :) Happy for you.
I have high respects to those who finish their schooling especially those who came from UP. Saludo ako sa lahat ng Scholar ng Bayan! Your mom is like my mom too. Self supporting and very caring. I wish I am close to my my mom. Happy Momma's day to all the mothers out there!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day Ms. Gigi. First of all, I would like to affirm you for being a good daughter and a good mom as well.
ReplyDeleteI believe you're raised very well by your parents because of what you are right now reflects the idea of who you were before.
My brother has also studied at UPLB and I stayed in LB for almost 6 years. (just saying haha) I so miss Elbi! God bless your family.
best mom nga! you're lucky to have one...i have one too at home ;)
ReplyDeletehappy mother's day!
wow!, i enjoyed reading your stories .being poor is not really a hindrance to succeed and finished college. your story reminds me of my own family .like yours ,we grew up being poor ,we are 7 children and all graduated from college except for one who chose not to go to college ,my father is only a laborer and mama had her own carinderia to help papa send us to school. Now ,we have a good family business manage by my elder sister and other siblingsand I can say that we have everything that money can buy. Most of all ,my parents just stay home without any financial worries.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers day to your mom! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky to have such a wonderful mother and this post is a nice tribute to her this Mother's Day! I can relate much to your story and your mom's dedication to raise successful children such as you and your siblings coz my mom is also 64 years old and our source of inspiration. Kudos to your mom and Happy Mother's Day!

ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to you and to your mom. I kinda miss my mom after reading this.
ReplyDeletemothers have the hardest job in the world. You are so lucky that God gave you a wonderfull mom. God bless your mother and your family always.
ReplyDeleteAll of us have to say about our beloved mothers.
ReplyDeleteYours is a mother of courage and perseverance and she
never gave up on you and your siblings. That's how a mother
can ever love her children and we have to emulate them in a way
but we cannot be who and what they are to us with our own kids.
happy mothers day to your mom! :)

Very heartwarming. I think the best Mother's Day gift we can give our moms is to make everyday feel like Mother's Day, simply because they spent the most part of their lives making us feel like it's Kids' day everyday.
