About a month ago, the kids (my son Ivan and his cousin Ymanne) were treated in a very delightful and entertaining musical show "Barney's Space Adventures" at the Aliw Theater.
We came early, so we were ushered first at the waiting area. This is where patrons can eat their food, rest for awhile while waiting for the doors to open. Restrooms are also available.
It was Ivan's first time experience in a cinema like venue and I was just glad he didn't mind the darkness (he is afraid of the dark). So I am planning next time we can go to the cinema to watch a movie together.

The musical show was based on the popular children's television show Barney and Friends, BARNEY SPACE ADVENTURES features Barney's friends: BJ, Baby Bop and Cousin Riff who together head on an exciting adventure aboard a spaceship.
The show was indeed full of fun, fantasy and excitement with all the popular Barney songs that my little boy can sing along with.
I knew this is one of Ivan's memorable experience 'coz we kept talking about it aboard the bus on our way home. He kept telling me that we should watch Barney again. I am glad that I was able to make my son happy.

i like barney! i used to watch barney as a child too kahit na marami akong kakilala na ayaw talaga nila si barney :)

my eldest son used to have a lot of video tape when he was a kid .he watched it on tv always. my youngest has different shows and barney is not one of them.

ReplyDeletei saw the ads of this show however my two kids, ages 6 and 9, are not fans of Barney anymore. they're now into animation movies.

ReplyDeleteI don't know why many people hate Barney, I think he's cute. I didn't grow up to Barney though so there's no nostalgia factor like in Sesame Street or Batibot characters.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure the kids enjoyed this! Maybe you can try to bring a flashlight when you're visiting the cinema to help your son cope up with the darkness. =)
ReplyDeleteMy son Kiko who is turning 3 this coming June is not much of a Barney fan but he may get excited too when he see these characters on a live theater. Good to know that you had fun watching courtesy of Smart Parenting mag.

ReplyDeleteThe kids and I were able to watch a Barney show, I think that was about 2 years ago. Kids were ecstatic and didn't want to leave Aliw Theater unless I bought them something lol.
